Each year E-Vam holds an in-person retreat conducive to contemplation, meditation, study, friendship and relaxation. It is a special time to focus on meditation and to deepen ones understanding of Buddhist philosophy. Whether new to Buddhism or as a more experienced practitioner, one can gain much from a retreat environment. The Path of Mahamudra Meditation Annual Retreat

Within a picturesque environment at Saranam Retreat Centre, North – Central West Virginia, each day includes audio of Buddhist teachings by Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche IX, discussions referencing the text of Moonbeams of Mahamudra, led by Lama Jinpa. Also included will be daily Puja’s – Green Tara and Chenrezig and gentle Yoga and Pranayama sessions.

Lama Jinpa (Aaron), is a longtime student of Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche. He completed the traditional Karma Kagyu three year retreat at Karme Ling Retreat Center in Delhi NY under Rinpoche’s guidance. Since that time he has served Rinpoche and the KTD community by teaching regularly at KTCs. Lama Jinpa is a householder practitioner, and enjoys practicing at home with his family. Lama Jinpa regularly gives courses for E-Vam Buddhist Institute and is a valued presenter always bringing such insight and warmth to his courses.

Held at the beautiful Vajra Vidya Retreat Centre in Crestone, Venerable Khenpo Lobzang Tenzin will once again join us and lead our Crestone Retreat, from giving teachings to leading meditation sessions and pujas. As well, we will have wonderful audio teachings by Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche IX and study group discussions led by Lama Jinpa.

Venerable Khenpo Lobzang Tenzin is a highly-regarded teacher under Kyabje Thrangu Rinpoche in the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Acclaimed for his broad understanding and beloved for his cheerful manner and kindness, he unites a natural affinity for teaching with sound expertise in Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and practice. He has trained throughout his life in the rigorous monastic disciplines of study, language, scripture, reasoning, music, and arts.
